Over 140 lots of Vintage Port were offered, including a superb collection of from a Welsh country home. The collection of over 400 bottles included Fonseca 1955, Dow 1963, Graham 1966 and Taylor’s 1970.
Whiskies and Cognacs are becoming increasingly sought after for investment; a bottle of Brora 1972 from the Rare Malt series sold for £7,260 and a Scotch Malt Whisky Society Springbank 1964 saw the hammer fall at £5143. A parcel of vintage Cognac from the great houses of Hine, Delamain and Remy Martin proved popular with both collectors and private buyers.
