1991 Peugeot 309 GLX Rally Car

Registered as 1,360cc but now fitted with a Clio 172 2-litre engine; full custom made stainless exhaust system; race dashboard; full roll cage, bucket seats and harnesses fitted


Another rally car in the auction – it must be Rally season…………
Originally registered in 1991 at Guildhall Motors in Grantham, this 309 appears to have stayed up north for a while before being considerably altered and arguably improved as an angry rally car.
Plenty of bills and piles of MOTs are on file but unfortunately no details of when it became a sporty 309 saloon.
The photographs show what is offered here but most importantly it has been fitted with a Renault Clio Sport 172 engine, running gear and brakes, paired with the obvious induction kit. Surrounded by a full red JS Performance silicone hose kit, it is clear the V5 is now incorrect, so that will need updating at one point.
Sitting on rota wheels and Nankang NS-2 tyres (fitted in March this year), there is also a full custom made exhaust system below. Inside, there have also been a few additions – electric race heater under the race dashboard, competition steering wheel with quick release boss, bucket seats with harnesses and of course the full roll cage. In the rear can be found the newly fitted aluminium fuel tank too.
