Description
1977 Fiat 127 900L
A very smart example
showing just 66,200 miles; few owners; very original - correct wheels included;
rare to find and very on-trend
Europe’s
best-selling car through most of the 1970s, step forward the Fiat 127. Rare
these days – rust, of course – but in the day? Che
bella.
This one
is a little more bellissima than most with its sharp
Rosso paintwork and its later, non-standard OZ alloy wheels (originals in
the boot should you so wish).
It has had
five owners since it was delivered new through Ouse Valley Motors in Bedford in
1977 and wears its 66,500 miles very well. Clean and smart throughout, we were
impressed with the sweet 903cc engine and very sharp interior as we moved it
around for the photos.
The file
of information includes the book pack including service book (two coupons used)
and brochures and price lists. There are some new parts supplied in the boot
(note this is a 900L and therefore not a hatchback!!) which include new discs,
brake shoes, a new rear silencer and flexi brake hoses etc.
It has had
a recent battery and exhaust and is ready to go – with a recent no advisory MOT
which expires in November 2022.
Zesty to
drive with sure-footed handling, the 127 was a revelation to those who drove one
for the first time back in the day. Their sharp styling and surprisingly good
spares supply have given them a cult following these days and nice ones, like
this, are very few and far between.
