1999 BMW Z3 Roadster
Face-lift example with 2.0 straight-six power; manual 'box; leather interior and manual hood; lots of summer fun potential
Supplied new by Cheyne BMW in August 1999 this face-lift Z3 Roadster is finished in Titan Silver metallic with contrasting black mohair hood and sitting on original 5-spoke alloy wheels with contrasting black leather interior with electric seat bases. In addition, the spec features traction control, electric windows, mirrors, more modern Kenwood radio/CD with USB and boot mounted CD changer along with a manually operated roof.
Under the bonnet, we find the silky smooth 2.0 straight-six M52TUB20 engine developing 148bhp and a useful 190NM of torque driving the rear wheels via 5-speed manual Getrag transmission.
Within the history file, we find the V5C showing 9 previous owners to our current of 12 months, service book boasting 12 stamps inc. PDI, the last in November 2020 at 111,165 miles revealing only 1,000 miles covered since then, the current mileage being 112,152 and selection of invoices including 2 new tyres and 2 new suspension arms plus bushes in 2016 at a cost of £508, new NSF shocker in November 2020 plus other more historic annual service invoices dating back to 2003.
We also note, as documented a new mohair hood was supplied and fitted in February 2013 at a cost of £870 including new cables. The current MOT in addition to the sole old MOT certificate is valid until November 2021 with 6 relatively minor advisories recorded.
Driven 50 miles to the sale, the car is ready to be enjoyed this summer.
