1966 Morris Minor 1000
1,098cc motor with
smart burgundy interior; scope for minor (get it!) cosmetic improvement and lots
of old bills
Dating from May 1966, this two-door Moggy boasts the
1,098cc engine and is finished in black. While there is scope for
straight-forward cosmetic improvement, the car started on the button and ran
well as we moved it around for these images and was a pleasant place to be with
its lovely deep oxblood leather interior and matching carpets.
Within the history file, we find the V5C, 6 old MOT
certificates, the last expiring in May 2019 at 61,196 miles with 3 minor
advisories noted for rear parking brake, some wear to a shock absorber pivot and
play in the steering, a selection of invoices for parts and maintenance dating
back to 1992, the most recent being supply of a new master cylinder in February
2008.
These simple cars offer a step into classic ownership with
a huge wealth of knowledge available through the various marque specialists.
They are supported by an active owner’s club with a wide array of upgrades
possible to make them easy to live with and use as a daily classic should you
wish, with low running costs given it's both tax and MOT exempt. Low cost and
essentially fun classic motoring at its best.
