2002 Mercedes-Benz ML55 AMG (W163)
Packing a 347bhp 5.4 V8 engine in an SUV sounds like a lot of fun; lovely example in unusual Copper Bronze showing just 80,000 miles
Supplied new in September 2002 this tidy, face-lift example is finished in special order Copper Bronze Metallic with black leather interior and wood trim. Boasting a pumped body with flared wheel arches, bonnet bulges and full AMG styling, the rare 55 AMG version was, and still is, a force to be reckoned with. Packing a whopping 347bhp from its natyrally aspirated 5.4 litre V8 engine driving all four wheels via 5-speed automatic transmission it could hit 60mph in 6.7 seconds thanks in part to the humungous 510NM of torque.
Showing just 80,000 miles this smart 4-owner example comes to us from a private Mercedes collector, the condition looks to be super with excellent bodywork, smart original AMG alloy wheels and smart interior with few signs of wear. Inside we find cruise control, heated electric seats, sat nav, automatic climate control with AC and automatic Xenon headlights to name but a few toys.
The history file comprises the V5C, owner's packs (x2) and service book with 11 stamps, the last stamped service in November 2018 at 75,283 miles by Mercedes Fleet service centre with a further 7 stamps for coolant change, brake fluid change, air cleaner element change and fuel filter changes all by MB dealers. In addition, we find the current MOT valid until December 2021 showing just one minor advisory for a "brake pipe corroded or covered in grease or other material" and 2 old MOTs. There are 2 invoices also on file, one for the last stamped service and another for some tyres in October 2018.
A fast, rare and appreciating Modern Classic with low owners and low mileage in a striking colour scheme. What a machine.
